John E. Dowling, age 62, entered eternal life on October 31, 2014. John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia “Patsy” (nee Stapay); four loving sons, Jason (Elizabeth), Jordan (Pamela), Robert, and Joseph Dowling; one loving daughter, Ryann Dowling; cherished grandchildren, Faye and Beatrice Dowling, Adaline and Everett Dowling; loving mother, Therese Dowling (nee Gallery); dear brother, Jim; dear sisters, Chris, Sharon, Patty, and Betty; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, John Dowling. John was a passionate musician and singer/songwriter. He was a skilled handyman. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Services for John E. Dowling are pending.

Geri retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Co. after 41 years. She is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Illinois Bell Pioneers Ladies Auxillary. Lying in state at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wednesday, November 5, from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. Interment Braceville-Gardner Cemetery. Rachel M. Reigh (nee McGowan) January 5, 1926 November 1, 2014 Rachel, age 88, of Minooka, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, she attended St. Patrick Grade School and was a graduate of St. Francis Academy in Joliet. She married Robert J. Reigh, D.V.M. in 1949, and was the devoted mother of ten children, 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Robert (Patricia) Reigh, John (Karen) Reigh, Donna (Steven) Hunt, Randolph Reigh, Rachel A. Reigh, Gregory (Alice) Reigh, Daniel (Christine) Reigh, Debra (Mark) Ward, Catherine (Michael) Brannick and Paul (Kay) Reigh; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Robert J. Reigh; her granddaughter, Jaclyn Brannick; parents, Bartolomew and Beatrice (nee Archambeault) McGowan; sisters, Marybea Adelmann and Agnes Lonegran; and brother, Daniel McGowan. A Mass in Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary’s Street, Minooka. Katina worked side by side as a seamstress with her late husband at JCM Uniforms (Joliet Clothing Mart). Lifetime member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochos Society and Mykonos Society. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gerald Polykandriotis (2012); her parents, Tzannis and Anastasia Papoutsas. Surviving are her beloved son, Nick G. (Kateri) Polykandriotis of Plainfield; two grandsons, whom she dearly loved, Gerald N. and Andrew N. Polykandriotis; her sister, Maria F. Panagiotopoulos of Joliet; four sisters-in-law, Louise Piotis of Joliet, Eleni Xydakis, Margarita Xydakis and Nikoletta Sardis, all of Greece; two brothers-in-law, Tzannis Piotis and Stelios Panagiotopoulos, both of Greece; her Godchildren, Jackie Bati, Dina Vardal and Kosta Xydakis; numerous nieces and nephews including Stacey Panagiotopoulos of Joliet and Ted Panagiotopoulos of Florida; and her loyal family of JCM Uniforms also survive. Preceded in death her former husband Lawrence E. Ryan (1995) and her son-in-law Jeff Simonich (2005). Barb was born in Joliet on February 14, 1938 to the late Frank Krall and Nettie Viol. She graduated from Providence Catholic High School Class of 1955 and attended Joliet Junior College and DePaul University in pursuit of her Criminal Psychology degree. Barb worked as a executive law secretary for law firms in Chicago and Joliet. Member of Joliet Area Handwriting Association. Barb has resided at Sunny Hill Nursing Home for the past 23 years. Kristina Kolasinski “Tina” (nee Bryja) Age 70. At rest Friday, October 31, 2014 at her home in Joliet, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with lymphoma for the past year and a half. Born December 4, 1943 in Chicago, she was a graduate of St. Ann High School, Chicago. Known as the “Popcorn Lady” at Immaculate Conception School, she ran the school rummage sale for 32 years and was a member of the School Board, where she was fondly nicknamed the “Polish Princess”. Kristina dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports and attending all their activities. She loved to travel with her husband and did so for 18 years, and enjoyed meeting new people in her travels. She was an avid pinochle and cribbage player. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary (nee Kalina) Bryja; and her in-laws, Raymond and Marie Kolasinski. Survived by her loving husband, Martin A. Kolasinski of Joliet; her children, Beth (Mark) Walker, Augie (Dan) Watson, Susan (Eric) Monson and Marty (Katy) Kolasinski; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Jett and Jack Walker; Craig and Samantha Watson; Lexi, Anthonee and Hattie Monson; and Oskar, Olivia and Gus Urquizo; one brother, Jim (Marianne) Bryja; sister-in-law, Roberta (Dave) Sadler; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Robert E. Larkin “Bob” Age 68. Passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Mary C. (Whitmer) Larkin of Morris; two daughters, Katie (Kenneth) Nelson of Joliet and Colleen (Art) Arias of Diamond; one son, Robert W. Larkin of Morris; proud “papa” to seven grandchildren, Nicolas, Ezequiel, Junior, Maxell and Alexia Aria and Amanda and Molly Nelson. Robert was born January 17, 1946 to the late Bernard and Lillian (Kozlowski) Larkin. He was a graduate of St. Jude Grade School and Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1964. Robert was a successful and lifelong farmer in the Joliet, Minooka and Morris areas. Formerly of Joliet, Robert moved to Morris in 2004 where he enjoyed his new homestead with Mary. He loved being outdoors and even more, farming side by side with his son. Robert cherished his family and enjoyed being together for holidays and gatherings. He is also survived by his brother, Donald S. (Jo Beth) Larkin of Minooka; sisters-in-law, Jane (Joseph) Riggs of Joliet and Beth (Theodore) Poplawski of Shorewood; one brother-in-law, William (Mary) Whitmer of Joliet; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Bernard J. (late Mary Feeney) Larkin. Robert was a charter member of the Church of St. Jude Parish. June V. Jobgen (nee Reynolds) Age 85, of Warrenville, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Edward Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Dubuque, IA, she married her beloved husband, Eugene, in 1950 in Dubuque, and together they moved to the Chicago area where she raised her family. June was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and concern for her family guided and were central to her daily activities; her family held the highest priority for her. Her family will carry the precious memories of the traditional annual Christmas Eve gatherings she hosted and multi-generation family vacations spent together. She was also an avid volunteer for Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton for 15 years. June dearly loved her dog, Coco, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. Surviving are four children, Michael (Melody) Jobgen of Woodstock, GA, Cynthia (Daniel) Kehoe of Plainfield, IL, Gregory (Pamela) Jobgen of Manson, IA and Cheryl Harper of Joliet, IL; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Schmidt of Ballwin, MO; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Raymond Reynolds of Dubuque, IA; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A.
