Sandra “Sandy” A. Kiesow (nee Johnson) – Age 61, of Minooka, formerly of Joliet, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2014. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John N. Kiesow, Sr.; her children John Jr., Michael (Julie), and Laura (Michael) Pyles; numerous cherished grandchildren, Nicolas “Nico”, Naomi, Antoinette “Toni”, Nicholas “Nick”, Sarah, Jessy, Michael Jr. “Mikey”, Emily and Estephany. She is also survived by her mother, Jessie E. White. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond A Johnson, Sr. and a brother Raymond A. Johnson Jr. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Friday, December 12, at 10:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park II. Mary E. Sukley (nee McGee) Age 82. At rest Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. She was a longtime Joliet resident. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Mary’s passions were spending time with her family and going to garage sales with her sister, Marge. Surviving are her loving and devoted daughters, Teena (Ken) Knezetic and Tammy (Ted) Mazor both of Channahon; three sons, Robert (Pat) McGee of New Lenox, Joseph (Carol Kohl) Sukley Jr., and Jerome Sukley both of Channahon; son-in-law, Jim Testa; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas (Pat) McGee of Ottawa, Donald (Nancy) McGee of Three Rivers, MI, James (Cherrie) McGee of Aurora and Frank Orenic of Joliet; four sisters, Jean Carpenter, Margie Webb, Linda (John) Bizzotti all of Joliet, and Donna (John) Volker of Aurora; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sukley, Sr.; parents, John McGee and Margaret McGee-Orenic; two daughters, Jana Testa and Patricia (Ken) Falkenberg; two brothers, George and John McGee; one sister, Sharon Tryon; grandson, Robert McGee, Jr.; and step-great-grandson, Beylen Testa. Ryan Bradley Smith Age 19, of Morris, IL, died tragically Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born June 15, 1995 in Joliet, to Rachael (nee Sanderson) and Randy Smith. Ryan was raised in Elwood and Braidwood. He graduated from Morris Community High School in May 2014 and was a resident of Morris the past five years. He was a member of Local #81 Laborers Union, currently employed by Eagle services. Ryan loved diesel trucks, anything camo, working on cars and mudding. Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Randy (Nicole) Smith of Elwood and Rachael (Matthew) Harr of Morris; one brother, Andrew Smith; three sisters, Alexis, Mia and Ava Smith; paternal grandparents, Dave (Babe) Smith and Peggy McHenry; maternal grandparents, Doris Salabura and Cecil Stepp; paternal great-grandfather, Pat McHenry; maternal great-grandparents, Betty Jo Joslin and William Sanderson; he will also be missed by his girlfriend, Amber Chlebek; step grandparents, Mike (Belinda) Harr and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Guido J. Marconi Age 93, was called home to the Lord with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Symphony of Joliet. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps during WWII and a member of American Hardwood Post # 5. Guido was the owner and operator of Joliet Home Finders Realty Co. before retiring to Florida where he enjoyed many years with his wife Catherine. He enjoyed golfing and traveling especially to Italy, visiting there several times. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Joliet Council # 300 and a Charter member and Past President of the Joliet Chapter of UNICO. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (nee Manno, 2004); his son, Dr. Joseph Marconi DDS (2014); his parents, Joseph and Louise (nee Sebastini) Marconi; one brother, Louis Marconi and two sisters, Yolanda Traina and Rose Potel. Survived by his son, Michael (Susan) Marconi; his daughter-in-law, Susan (late, Dr. Joseph) Marconi; six grandchildren, Michael (Kathleen) Marconi, Dino (Susie) Marconi, Christian G. (Kathy) Marconi, Brad (Sara) Marconi, Bryan G. (Megan) Marconi and Jennifer Catherine (Paul) Yanak; his great-grandchildren, Amanda, Samatha, Nicholas, Lauren, Luc Marconi, Ryan and Cameron Yanak and “Baby” Joseph Marconi; two step-grandchildren, Sarah (Ernest) Benion and Alex (Addy) Jarz; seven step-great-grandchildren, Sophia, Camille, Simon, Elias and Jesse Benion, Adrianna and Austin Jarz. Four grandchildren Justin Miller and Sarah (Josh) Marshall, Reed and Jack Jacobson. Three great-grandchildren Michael and Tyler Marshall and Emily Miller. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents Harry and Dorothy Hudek; six brothers and three sisters. Former member of St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church. Member of Jackson County Homemakers. Retired from Ivereson Florist as a floral designer. Sophie Enjoyed gardening and cooking. Retired from Johns Manville Corporation as a supervisor after over 34 years of service. A member and past president of the Channahon Lions Club, a past Channahon Village trustee serving two terms. A former Rockdale volunteer fire fighter. He was an avid flea market vendor and collector. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survived by two sons, Dwayne Walker and Timothy Walker, both of Channahon; two daughters, Yvonne (Joey) Doyle of Walnut Ridge, AR and Lynette (Russell) Eckert of Joliet; nine grandchildren, Alisha, Kaitlyn, Skyliegh, Brandon, Nicholas, Daniel, Christian, Drew and Austin; one sister, Joann (Michael) Polk of Republic, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Joseph is survived by his daughter Anna (Quinn) Mommson, his grandchildren Julie and Nathan Mommson and a sister Judsith Ksiazak. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph “buddy” and Louise (nee Luksic) Fondriest. He was a lifelong resident of the Joliet area. He sold many vehicles at Dzak motors and Bill Jacobs Chevrolet, where he was known as “Mustache Joe”. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a really nice guy. Paul Diaz Age 89, formerly of Joliet, IL, died suddenly of natural causes in Harlingen, TX. Born February 16, 1925 in Lockport, IL and resided in the Joliet area for 53 years. He attended Lockport Township High School and Joliet Township High School. During WWII, Paul served in the US Army in the Asian Theater in Burma and received a Purple Heart among other medals. On returning home, he worked in the local steel industry, and when his children were on their own, Paul moved to Texas to enjoy a place free of snow and bitter cold and where he could plant fruits and vegetables all year round. In his 60’s he retired from Texas State Technical College where he had worked as an electrician. Paul enjoyed Life. He had a passion for organic farming, yoga, vegetarianism and just plain healthy living for over 50 years. He loved welding and constructing useful gadgets for around the home and shop. He encouraged all to grow their own gardens, eat healthy and exercise daily. He set a great example–he lived as he preached: A healthy, pure life. Preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Vicenta Diaz; spouse, Sally Soto Diaz; brothers, John Diaz (infant) and Alfonso (Lee) Diaz; and sisters, Rose (Robert) Moruzi and Margaret (Peter) Escobedo. Born in Dahlgren, IL to the late Casey and Edna (nee Darnell) Wilkey, residing in Joliet since 1953. Graduate of Elgin High School and Tufts University of Medford, MA, graduating Cum Laude. A WWII U.S. Navy veteran, honorably discharged at the rank of Seaman First Class in 1946. Retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1986 following over 30 years of service. Bob loved music, and was an accomplished violinist participating in several orchestra and chamber groups. He also taught violin and viola in years past. Surviving are his three children, Steven (Nancy) Wilkey of Joliet, Marianne Wilkey of San Diego, CA and Barbara (Tom) Studer of Joliet; four grandchildren, Julie Kruder, Lisa (Jason) Ales, Christopher Studer and Dennis Studer; two great-grandsons, Michael and Marty. Hon. John F. Cirricione Age 88, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Brookdale Joliet. Born April 24, 1926 in Joliet, he was the son of Sylvester and Mary (DiLorenzo) Cirricione. He was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Joliet Junior College, and John Marshall Law School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. John served as a lawyer in private practice in Joliet for 31 years, prior to being appointed Associate Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit, a position he held for 17 years. He was admitted and qualified as an Attorney and Counsellor of the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Cirricione was an avid drummer, starting in high school and continuing throughout his entire life. He was a member of the American Legion Band, the Shrine Club Band, and played in the Jay Mau Orchestra. His Honor was a member of Matteson Lodge #175, A. F. & A. M.; Past President of the Joliet Chapter of UNICO; a proud member of Musicians Union Local #37, and a former member of the Joliet Junior College Board. In recent years, he enjoyed going with his wife, Betty, to their home in Arkansas. Surviving are his wife, Betty A. (Baxter) Cirricione of Joliet; one daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Cowgill of Joliet; two sons, Thomas (Karen) Cirricione of Joliet, and Richard (Candace) Cirricione of Fisher; two stepchildren, William (Marilyn) Holzgethan and Ruth (Brian) Gabor; 11 grandchildren, Mark (Holly) Cowgill, Jennifer (Corwin) Sandusky, James (Rachel) Cowgill, Laura Cirricione, Lisa Cirricione, Nancy Cirricione, Elizabeth (Justin) Summerville, Lynn Cirricione, Anthony Cirricione, Jill Cirricione, and John Cirricione; four step-grandchildren, Jill Holzgethan, Brian Gabor, Jr., Corey Gabor, and Benjamin Gabor; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces, Terri Nugent and Trudi Cassidy; and one nephew, Tom Turigliatto. Beloved wife of the late Edward Hoiden (1974); loving mother of Deborah Hoiden, Jim (Sharon) Hoiden, Nancy Hoiden and Michael (Marsha) Wodek; dearest grandmother of Erin, Stephen, Jessica, Jamie and Alex; proud great-grandmother of Tony; fond sister of Evelyn Leparski and the late Leroy (Ruth) Heilman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She will also be missed by many dear friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday December 22, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park. Arlynn Koidahl Age 85 left this life for heaven Wednesday December 17, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Audrey Koidahl of Lake Zurich, his children Karen Churchill of Plynouth, MN; Linda Hoening of Cary , IL ; Rick Koidahl of McHenry, IL ; Bob Koidahl of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren Rodney, Jenny, Michael, Beth. Ricky, Jordan, and several Great grandchildren; a sister Arlyss Nelson of Cary, IL also survives. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ester (nee Henrickson) Koidahl of Cary, IL; a brother Virgil Koidahl of Duluth , MN; a sister-in-law Dolly Koidahl of Duluth, MN; a brother-in-law Orville Nelson of Cary, IL. Arlynn was a long time resident of Cary. His later years were spent golfing and working at the Cary Country Club. After he built many homes for people, He is now going to the Greatest home of all. Prepared for him by his Lord and Savior, written by Gary Nelson. Private services were held at Windridge Cemetery in Cary.
